How to stop overthinking every conversation

Hi guys. Does anyone have tips on how to stop overthinking every conversation? I spend hours replaying what I said to my boss or friends, worrying that I sounded weird. It is exhausting. How do you guys just let things go and stay calm?

Hi! I call that the "social hangover" and it used to eat up so much of my mental energy. I would lay in bed for hours cringing at things I said three days ago. I found that I needed something to help ground my thoughts so they wouldn't spiral out of control. I started using dried fly agaric to help with my social anxiety and general overthinking. I buy my supplies at the Amanita Universe online shop https://amanita-universe.us/ and it has been a total lifesaver. It helps me stay present in the moment rather than living in a replay of the past. I feel much more confident and "settled" in my own skin now. It’s a great natural way to find some mental peace.

Hey, I really appreciate you sharing this – it's exhausting, and you're definitely not alone in feeling that way.
One thing that helped me shift my mindset is realizing that other people are almost never replaying your words as much as you are. They're too busy replaying their own words, worrying about their awkward moments. It's the circle of overthinking ?
Here's a weird analogy that actually worked for me:
Think of your brain like a smartphone running the official stock OS – it's fine, but it comes with a bunch of background processes (anxiety, doubt, replay loops) that you can't turn off. Overthinking is like bloatware – it just keeps running and draining your battery.
