Is car polishing worth doing regularly?

I've been thinking about getting my car polished because the paint has started looking a little dull, especially under direct sunlight. There are also a few light swirl marks that I'd like to improve without going for a full paint correction.
For anyone in Sharjah, what has your experience been with car polishing Sharjah services? Does professional polishing make a noticeable difference, and how often would you recommend doing it?
I'd be interested to hear what products or polishing methods others have used and whether the results lasted for a reasonable amount of time.
