Hi everyone, I'm still a bit stressed just thinking about what happened last night and I really need some honest advice from people who know the roads here better than I do. I was driving back from Al Ain around midnight when my car suddenly started making this terrible noise from the engine and then just lost all power on the shoulder. Being alone on a dark highway at that hour was honestly terrifying because every few minutes a huge truck would zoom past and my whole car would shake. I called my insurance first but they said their roadside assistance only covers within the city limits and I was too far out for them to help. Then I tried a couple of numbers from quick Google searches, but either no one answered or they gave me ridiculous wait times of four to five hours. I was sitting there watching my phone battery drain and thinking about how expensive a random tow truck might be if I just flagged one down. After about twenty minutes of panic scrolling, I managed to book a reliable car recovery service Abu Dhabi that a friend had mentioned to me months ago but I never saved the name. The dispatcher picked up on the second ring which already felt like a good sign compared to the others. He asked for my location, confirmed the price up front which was reasonable, and said someone would be there in fifty minutes. I honestly didn't believe him because I've been let down before by companies that promise quick arrival and then keep calling to delay. But to my surprise, a truck showed up in about forty five minutes and the driver was really professional and careful while loading my car. He even offered me a bottle of water while I waited in the truck cab, which was such a small but kind gesture. Now I'm thinking I should probably save their contact somewhere permanently because I have a feeling my old car might give me more trouble soon. Has anyone else here used them before or do you have another company you trust for late night emergencies? I really don't want to go through that scary waiting experience again so I'd love to hear what other people rely on when things go wrong on the highway.
