The offense rolled up 560 yards against the Commodores, and Jake Fromm (17 of 23, 276 yards, three touchdowns) continued a season of efficient play that keeps Georgia moving in the right direction. The Bulldogs might not have as much flash as the Buckeyes or Crimson Tide, but they are every bit as capable of winning the national championship. A road trip to a LSU team with its back against the wall will get some more attention.4. Clemson (6-0) Trevor Lawrence is back, and order is restored for the Tigers heading into a much-needed bye week in advance of the ACC Atlantic showdown with undefeated N.C. State. The defense flexed in a 63-3 blowout against Wake Forest, and Lawrence's supporting cast made the big plays. Travis Etienne (167 yards, three touchdowns) looks like an All-American running back, and the receiving tandem trio of Justyn Ro s, Tee Higgins and Hunter Renfrow will Joel Bitonio Jersey only improve with Lawrence.MORE: First two out5. Notre Dame (6-0)The Irish are the first team out after an impre sive 45-23 victory at Virginia Tech. Ian Book turned in another impre sive performance on the road with 271 yards and two touchdowns, and Dexter Williams added 178 yards and three scores on the ground. By now you know the Irish's remaining schedule is friendly, and Notre Dame has a very good chance of running the table. That on the undefeated teams ahead of them, but the same pre sure is on the Irish not to lose because of the lack of a conference championship game.6. That's not a game the Mountaineers can take lightly by any stretch.Four to watchWashington (5-1) built a three-score, 17-point lead in the first half against UCLA and held on in the second half. The31-24victory showed Bruins coach Chip Kelly the standard now. The Huskies are the clear favorite in the Pac-12 North, and they can prove it next week at Oregon, Kelly's former home. UCF (5-0) continuedto chug along in a48-20 victory against SMU and will flirt with a top-10 ranking heading into the second week of October. The fact Cincinnati and USF stayed unbeaten in the Antonio Callaway Jersey American Athletic Conference doesn't hurt the Knights' chances. ...Texas (5-1) is back. You'll hear that all week, but Tom Herman has the Longhorns back in the Big 12 hunt after a thrilling victory against rival Oklahoma. Michigan (5-1) has been out of sight since the season-opening lo s at Notre Dame, but the Wolverines will be back in the spotlight in a Big Ten elimination game of sorts against Wisconsin inprime timenext week.
