Posted here a couple months back asking about DSG shudder and got a lot of mixed replies, some saying only the dealer can touch it, others saying find a specialist. I ended up going with one of the Volkswagen servicing specialists in Sharjah that kept coming up in my searches and honestly I owe this forum an update because I was skeptical. They ran a full diagnosis first, showed me the readings, explained that my mechatronic unit was fine but the fluid was overdue and the adaptations had drifted. Two hours later the shudder was basically gone. Total bill came to a fraction of what the dealer quoted me for a new unit. Only thing I'd say is they were busy and I had to wait a few days for a slot, so book ahead if you're planning to go. Curious if anyone else has had a similar experience or if I just got lucky with this one shop.
