I'm curious how many people here have moved to another European country because of work and still managed to keep up with the local metal scene.
I've been looking at opportunities abroad, and one thing I've wondered about is whether moving for a better career actually makes it easier to get involved with concerts, festivals and local bands. For example, someone searching for finance jobs for English speakers in Europe might end up choosing a country mainly because of the job, but then discover a completely different metal community there.
Has anyone here had that kind of experience? Which European countries or cities have been good both for work and for finding decent metal shows? I'd be interested to hear where people moved and whether the local scene was a pleasant surprise.
