Hi everyone, I wanted to share my experience from yesterday because I know there are other Rolls owners out there who dread the day their battery dies and they have to deal with either the insane dealership prices or gamble on an unknown independent shop. My 2016 Ghost has been sitting in my garage for about three weeks while I was traveling for work and when I came back and tried to start it, the battery was completely dead. No signs of life at all. I was about to just call the dealership and accept my fate of spending a ridiculous amount of money when a friend told me about a mobile service he used for his Bentley. I looked up their website which is dubaicarbattery.ae/rolls-royce-battery-replacement and honestly I was skeptical at first because it's hard to trust anyone with a car this expensive. But my friend insisted they did a great job on his car so I decided to give them a call. The guy showed up within an hour which surprised me because I figured a mobile service would take half the day to arrive. He brought the new battery with him, a German made one that looked identical to what the dealership would use. The installation took maybe twenty five minutes and he showed me on his tablet that he had registered the new battery to the car's computer system which was my biggest worry. He also tested the alternator and checked for any parasitic drains that might have caused the old battery to die in the first place. The total cost was less than half of what the dealership quoted me, which honestly made me feel a little stupid for all the years I've been overpaying at the dealer for simple things like batteries. The car started up perfectly and all the electronics including the infotainment system and the memory seats worked fine on the first try. I'm not saying I'll never use the dealership again but for something as straightforward as a battery replacement I think I've found my new go to.
